University of Bristol host Sixth Understanding Religion & Law Workshop 19th December 2016

The University of Bristol hosted the sixth Understanding Religion and Law workshop. A number of scholars and PhD students gathered to discuss and shared ideas around a set of fascinating papers. The papers covered a variety of topics on law and religion including the function of informal legal in Shi‘a institutes in the UK contrasted with the advice by given by the  Citizens Advice Bureau,  law and religion in Biblical, Catholic (Ecclesiastical) and Buddhist contexts, as well as the handling of the refugee crisis in Holland. This successful event will be followed by another workshop in Cardiff on 6th February, 2017.
